Twenty years after losing my father, I visited his birthplace for the first time since childhood. In the attic of the soon-to-be-demolished house, I found his youthful paintings. Saying goodbye to a place I thought had no meaning in my life while discovering its significance left me with complex emotions I still can’t define. My grandfather’s wooden suitcase, my father’s paintings, and his 90s videos—kept as mementos—became the foundation of this work. Through cyanotype, I exposed each frame individually, crafting visual narratives that bridge past and present in a deeply personal search for meaning.
