Cassette-Television
Cassette-Television re-narrates 15 years in the evolution of video as a mass medium in West Germany. The story is told by a host, a contemporary witness, a newsreader and a voice within a TV-Set. The TV is always present and illustrates the narration with a variety of archive material, while the witness talks about the personal experiences he´s had during that era. From 1970 to 1985 one can experience the history of advanced audiovision - or in other words: home entertainment on video. It starts with the visions of a revolution and ends within the regressive climate during the era of chancellor Kohl.
