Chora

Taking its inspiration from Julia Kristeva's semiotic chora, the film invites us to revisit the first steps of being and becoming through the performer's body. Connoting the womb, chora is a maternal space which offers protection and nourishment, but it is also a threat to the autonomy. Torn between a drive for individuality and a need for attachment, each body will eventually find its unique way to leave this space, where we all have been once.
