Diener
A man, rigour in his lip and stains on his clothes, scatters out ashes from a box over a bridge. A moment of intense mourning. The day moves on, the man is remarkably resolved. More than that, he has another box of ashes in his hands. Who is he? And where are these ashes coming from? Shot on 16mm film using an extremely minimalist cast and no dialogue, Diener explores the nature of the rituals we have around death.
