FLY - JANE LA ONDA (dir. Howl, Ritger)

In an unreleased song, Guerilla Toss front-woman, Kassie Carlson embarks on a journey of the mind. Cosmic colors rush through the world of a tiny house fly. The fly croons in meditative vibrations that we only begin to grasp. The directors, TRLLM worked closely with Carlson to create a unique blend of homemade costumes and 3d animation. The film makes use hand-drawn images, digital drawings, and stock art images to bring the world to life. As the fly departs this realm for somewhere else, emanating embers wander and dissipate like fireflies. Her exit reminds us that all art is ephemeral, and all music must come to an end. This brief exploration reminds us of the increasingly precarious position of making art, and the importance of supporting vibrant and diverging voices, and sounds.
