Micro Battles

Micro Battles is an experimental short film about ants, shot with a macro lens and accompanied by oscillator-based sound design. The film captures a brutal clash between a group of ants and a spider. As the spider attacks, the ants realize the threat too late to warn the colony. Its first move is to trap three ants in its web. Among them, one selfish ant chooses to save itself, leaving the other two behind. Despite their desperate efforts to escape, the trapped ants share the same fate as another already caught in the web. Wrapped in a shimmering cocoon, they struggle until they’re ultimately eaten by the spider. Their lifeless, fetal-like bodies slowly fade into the intricate world of the ant colony’s macro universe.
