Sorrowful Seed

Sorrowful Seed is a music video/short film scripted by Lane Mingyu Shi describing the mental condition about abortion. It is driven by the concept of an aborted baby being a phantom that connects and talks to the mother rather than blaming her. Even though the baby was not born, he/she remains with her and very likely will be living in her memory throughout her life. She perceives the baby as a messenger in the hope of a better life and she “sends” the baby home with her best wishes. This music video is indeed a visualization of the song itself, and is dedicated to all of the women that share this experience and yet cannot reconcile the dark spots, pain and confusion that they live with. As a band and human beings, we seek to heal and bring awareness and light.
