Tripitaka

Shooting through a spinner or film reel makes out of focus objects move. And we know with colour separation that movement registers primary colours independently. I spent lockdown wondering what happens when you combine the two. These three short, triple takes explore blur that moves and movement that becomes coloured. Tripitaka paints outside the lines with effects that are optical, not digital.
